The next big thing at McDonald's is upon us, the McPlant. The McPlant will be more than just a single product, it'll be a whole plant-based platform, a first-of-its-kind launch by the fast-food giant. First in line is the McPlant burger, and while the chain hasn't yet specified its release date in the United States, its testing is well underway in other parts of the world. Customers in Sweden, Denmark, and Austria were among the first to try it earlier this year, while plans for its UK debut on October 13 have just been announced.
Here's what you can expect from this new burger line: a juicy, plant-based patty served on a sesame seed bun with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayonnaise-style sauce, ketchup, mustard, and a slice of American cheese.
