1. Hot Sauce

Capsaicin, the compound that gives chiles their signature kick, has been shown to boost metabolism and increase appetite. After opening a new bottle of hot sauce, most people put it in the fridge. But according to a study from University of Queensland, cold temperature can make capsaicin to coagulate with other chemical compounds, and therefore causes hot sauce to lose its flavour.
