The vast majority of restaurants that serve Coke in machines put the syrup concentrate in a plastic bag, which is an easy and inexpensive way to do it. McDonald's puts the syrup in stainless steel cans, which makes the syrup better protected from light, heat, air, and other environmental factors to maintain its optimal flavor.
