2. Clean Rusty Knives
Time to take your rusty knives out from the shelves and pick up the pieces with onion. Slice an onion and rub it all over the knife, especially on the rusted part. You'll find it works wonders, since the sulphanilic that onion contains can react with these hydrogen ions to help break up rust.
