4. Eggs float in water.
When it comes to eggs, it's hard to tell if they have gone bad because of their hard shells. So try using the water test to see if your eggs are still eatable. Just take a large glass of water and carefully place your egg inside. The egg is no longer safe to use if it floats while a good egg tends to sink.
