Earlier in April, national pizza parlor Little Caesars started the initiative of donating and delivering 1 million pizzas to frontline medical workers and first responders across the nation (see orange-colored locations below). They also appealed to their loyal customers to "pie it forward" and had 250,000 additional pizzas delivered to those national heroes. The 1.25 million donated pizzas could serve up to 5 million meals to essential works at hospitals, police departments, and fire departments. It all originated from the firm belief held by the president and CEO of Little Caesars David Scrivano: the donation of pizzas is the best way a family restaurant says thank you to and supports these essential workers during unprecedented times.
