Velvet Jacobs, the celebrity chef behind the eatery, started learning to put different flavors together from her home-chef grandparents when she was 9 years old. Growing up eating soul food, she is dedicated to offering people plant-based dining experience with a southern twist. They even comment that they can eat at Veltree for an entire week because the menu changes every day!
