Sbarro, this once-mighty pizza chain, had closed nearly half its stores by 2016, according to Eater. The chain's idea was to replicate the New York City pizza style, but they never succeed in grabbing the hot, spicy, eternally satisfying feeling of biting into a genuine NYC slice. Maybe something is just best to be left in the past.
