According to one report, the answer doesn't have to do with the demand for Snack Wraps, but rather the amount of time it takes to prepare them. In 2019, Investopedia reported that preparing just the tortilla used in the Snack Wraps took McDonald's employees twice as long as it took them to assemble burgers, and that doesn't even account for the prep work required for the wrap's other ingredients or its assembly time.
