What is mold?
Mold is a multicellular, thread-like structured fungus. When it grows on food, the mold itself is fuzzy with a dusty texture, and the food turns soft and changes the color. It also has this wet dirt taste and nasty smell that gross people out. Generally speaking, food with a moist, warm organic surface makes the perfect environment for mold growth.
