Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Wenders LLC of Dublin, Calif., has recalled specific lots of Trader Joe’s Nuts — 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews (SKU 37884) because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause fever, diarrhea, vomiting and more severe infections in vulnerable individuals. Consumers should not eat the recalled products and should stop using them immediately.
The recall covers products marked with lot code(s) T12139, T12140, T12141 and T12142 (best‑before dates Feb. 21, 2025; Mar. 1, 2025; Mar. 8, 2025; and Mar. 10, 2025), with country of origin listed as India or Vietnam; the lot code is printed on the back panel of the plastic pouch. The items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Trader Joe’s locations in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS, LA, NM, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT and WA, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
Consumers should return recalled packages to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them safely; do not repackage or donate the product.
