Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — ADM Milling Co. has recalled all five‑pound bags of Baker’s Corner All Purpose Flour packaged for ALDI in select markets because testing by the Rhode Island Department of Health detected E. coli in a five‑pound bag, a strain that has been linked to 17 illnesses in eight states; consumers should stop using the flour immediately and not eat raw dough or batter made with it. The core risk is foodborne illness from E. coli contamination, and ADM is urging anyone who has the product to discard it or return it for a refund without delay.
The recall covers Baker’s Corner All Purpose Flour, five‑pound bags, lot code(s) included in all bags manufactured for ALDI at ADM’s flour mill in Buffalo, New York; ADM has expanded a prior recall of two specific lots to include all five‑pound bags currently in distribution. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and ALDI stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 (consumers should check packaging for lot code(s) and consult retailer notices for specific store lists).
Consumers with affected product should either dispose of it in a sealed container or return it to their local ALDI store for a full refund; they may request a refund or replacement per retailer return policy. ADM Milling is working with ALDI and public health officials on an investigation and advises anyone who is ill to contact a physician. For questions, consumers may contact ADM customer service by email at [email protected] or by phone at 800‑422‑1688, weekdays 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Central Time.
