Recall Notice: Willy Pete’s Chocolate Company LLC of Harwinton Issues Recall of Chocolate Bars Due to Almonds Not Declared in Ingredient Statement

Hartford, Conn., Jan. 14, 2026 — Willy Pete’s Chocolate Company LLC has recalled its Almond Despair chocolate bar because the product label fails to declare almonds, creating a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for consumers with almond allergies; consumers who have purchased the product should not eat it and should stop using it immediately. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled 2‑ounce Almond Despair bars are packaged in purple wrappers, UPC 0 987261 5, and bear the following lot code(s): [lot code(s) not provided]. The bars have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and South Carolina, including Curioporium in Southington, CT; Army Barracks in Saugus, MA; and Puckerbutt Pepper Co. in Fort Mill, SC, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
