Seattle, Dec. 20, 2025 — Fran’s Chocolates, Ltd. has recalled 112 units of Fran’s Pure Bar Almondmilk Chocolate 46% Madagascar Plant‑Based (net wt. 1.1 oz) because the product contains undeclared hazelnut, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with hazelnut allergies; consumers who purchased the product should stop using it immediately and not eat it.
The affected item is identified as Fran’s Pure Bar Almondmilk Chocolate 46% Madagascar Plant‑Based with lot code(s) associated with units sold between Oct. 9, 2025 and Dec. 15, 2025. The product has been sold online at www.frans.com and at four Fran’s Chocolates stores in Seattle, Wash., since Oct. 9, 2025. Fran’s reports one adverse allergic event linked to the product; no other illnesses or deaths related to other Fran’s products have been reported. A supplier testing revealed trace hazelnut contamination from shared processing equipment.
Consumers who purchased the product between Oct. 9, 2025 and Dec. 15, 2025 are urged to dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, or request a replacement where available.
