Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Hartford Bakery, Inc. has voluntarily recalled six lots of its Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Loaf because the product may contain undeclared hazelnuts, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with nut allergies or severe sensitivity. Consumers who have purchased the affected loaves should not eat them and should stop using them immediately.
The recalled product is Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Loaf with lot code(s) T10 174010206, T10 174010306, T10 174010406, T10 174020206, T10 174020306 and T10 174020406; net weight 12 OZ (340G), UPC 24126018152 and an expiration date of 07/13/2025 on the front panel. These loaves have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Kroger and Walmart, and were distributed in Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama and Mississippi; the products have been sold since July 10, 2025.
