  • Status: active
  • Date: Jan 24, 2025
  • Reason: Potential or Undeclared Allergen – soy

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — TS Food Packaging has recalled “Rural King” and “Wabash Valley Farms” Bacon Seasoning because the products contain an undeclared soy ingredient that poses a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with soy allergies; consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and not eat them. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company initiated the recall after a manufacturing quality verification found a supplier‑provided substitute ingredient contained soy without notification.

The recall covers 4.2 oz plastic jars of Bacon Seasoning with lot code(s) 17324s, 27824s and 30324s, and 1 oz sample gift packets with lot code(s) 16524SP, 16624SP, 23424SP, 26324SP, 26424SP, 26724SP, 20624S and 20724S. The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; consumers should check package lot codes before use. The company says corrective actions are in place to address a substitution review process gap between the supplier and the customer base.

Consumers who purchased Rural King or Wabash Valley Farms Bacon Seasonings should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of it safely if a return is not possible; consumers seeking a refund or replacement may contact TS Food Packaging by email at [email protected] or by phone at 262‑763‑9434, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central. If you have severe soy allergy concerns or experience an adverse reaction, seek immediate medical attention and report the incident to local health authorities. If additional information is needed, check the retailer’s recall notices or the company website for updates.
