Naturipe Value Added Fresh LLC Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Wheat & Eggs In "Berry Buddies, Berries & Pancakes” Lot # 1097901

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Naturipe Value Added Fresh LLC. of Alma, Ga., has recalled 2.1 oz. (60 g) "Berry Buddies, Berries & Pancakes" bento snack packs because they contain undeclared wheat and eggs, posing a risk of serious allergic reactions to consumers with wheat or egg allergies; anyone with these allergies should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately. The company says no illnesses have been reported to date.

The affected product is labeled "BERRY BUDDIES, berries & pancakes" in 2.1 oz. / 60 g colored plastic packages bearing lot code(s) 1097901 with an expiration date of 2/25/2025. A total of 694 cases were distributed to Kroger and Meijer stores and sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, Minnesota, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Mississippi, West Virginia and Wisconsin; the product has been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 and is typically found in refrigerated produce or deli sections. The recall was initiated after an incorrect back label omitted wheat and eggs; the company attributes the error to a label changeover failure that has been corrected.

Consumers with wheat or egg allergies who purchased the recalled lot code(s) are urged to dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, and may request a refund or replacement from the retailer or the company.
