UPDATE - Albertsons Companies Voluntarily Recalls Select Store-Made Deli Items Containing Bowtie Pasta Supplied by Fresh Creative Foods Due to an Ingredient Recall for Possible Listeria monocytogenes Contamination

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Albertsons Companies is voluntarily recalling select store-made deli items supplied by Fresh Creative Foods, a division of Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc., because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The core risk is severe listeriosis, which can cause fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea and can be life‑threatening for young children, elderly people, pregnant women and those with weakened immune systems. Consumers who have these products should not eat them and should stop using them immediately.

The recall covers specific deli salad and pasta items containing bowtie pasta produced with a recalled ingredient from Nate’s Fine Foods, identified by product names and lot code(s): READY MEALS PESTO BOWTIE PASTA SALAD (lot codes SEP 13 25–OCT 04 25, SEP 8 25–OCT 04 25, SEP 20 25–OCT 04 25), BASIL PESTO BOWTIE PASTA SALAD (lot codes SEP 13 25–OCT 04 25, SEP 8 25–OCT 04 25, SEP 20 25–OCT 04 25, SEP 11 25–OCT 04 25), and other related ready‑made pasta salads and kits with sell‑thru dates from Sept. 8, 2025, through Oct. 4, 2025. The items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and store banners including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Carrs‑Safeway and others in states across Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

Consumers should dispose of the recalled products or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund and should clean and sanitize any surfaces and containers that may have contacted the product to avoid cross‑contamination.
