The Bakery Group Issues Allergen Alert on Undeclared Milk, Soy and Yellow FD&C #5 In Specific Bread and Hamburger Buns

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — The Bakery Group of Dallas, Texas, has recalled specific Dense Brioche Pullman loaves and 4.5in Brioche HB Buns because they may contain undeclared milk, soy, wheat and Yellow FD&C #5, creating a risk of serious allergic reactions for sensitive consumers; anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to these ingredients should stop using the products immediately and not eat them. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company says the labeling and packaging error has been corrected as of March 19, 2025.

The recall covers Dense Brioche Pullman loaves (product code 654203, packaged 7 loaves per case) and 4.5in Brioche HB Buns (product code 54500, packaged 48 per case); these items were produced with improper labels and have no specific lot numbers. The products have been sold since Dec. 24, 2024, through wholesale distribution to Ben E. Keith of Fort Worth, Texas, and to the Rodeo Goat Casa Linda store in Dallas, Texas, and were available online and at select U.S. retailers where those distributors supply product. Identifying packaging includes brown boxes bearing Ben E. Keith labels or Rodeo Goat Casa Linda Brioche Pullman labels.

Consumers or businesses that purchased the recalled products between Dec. 24, 2024, and March 12, 2025, and who still have remaining inventory should dispose of the product or contact their distributor for return, relabeling, refund or replacement; customers are advised to check their purchase records and retained packaging for product codes.
