Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Revival Animal Health of Orange City, Iowa, has recalled Breeder’s Edge® Foster Care® Canine and GM (goat milk) and Shelter’s Choice® Canine milk replacers because variable vitamin D levels have resulted in products with either low or elevated vitamin D, posing risks of vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, weakness, lethargy, reduced growth, bone deformities and, in extreme cases, soft‑tissue calcification in dogs and puppies. Consumers should stop feeding the listed products immediately and contact their veterinarian if their animals show symptoms consistent with vitamin D imbalance.

The recalled items include multiple package sizes and lot code(s) for Breeder’s Edge Foster Care GM Milk Replacer (1 lb. UPC 817160010080; 5 lb. UPC 817160010097; best‑by ranges include 06/25/2027 and 01/08/2028) and several Breeder’s Edge Foster Care Canine and Shelter’s Choice Canine Milk Replacer formats (12 oz, 1 lb., 3.5 lb., 4.5 lb., 5 lb., 8 lb., 18 lb., 20 lb.; various UPCs and best‑by dates listed by the company). Affected products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since at least May 22, 2026; the company has expanded the recall to include GM (goat milk) products after testing detected elevated vitamin D levels.

Consumers should discontinue use, dispose of or return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund, or contact Revival Animal Health to arrange return and reimbursement; consumers with questions or to request a refund or replacement may email the company at [email protected] or call 1‑877‑870‑4059 (M–F, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. CDT). Pet owners who believe their animals have been harmed should seek veterinary care promptly. If additional product identification or distribution details are needed, consumers should consult the company’s recall notice or the FDA recall page for the full list of lot code(s) and UPCs.
