Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Frito‑Lay has issued a voluntary recall of 16,100 bags of Off The Eaten Path Chickpea Veggie Crisps, 6¼ oz., after an investigation found the bags may contain caramel seasoned crisps that have undeclared milk ingredients. The presence of milk poses a risk of a serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction for anyone with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers with such allergies should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately.
The recalled product is Off The Eaten Path Chickpea Veggie Crisps, 6¼ oz., with UPC 02840020646 and lot code(s) that must include the use‑by date “12 MAR 2024” together with any of the manufacturing codes 55432514MH, 55432516MH or 55432517MH. These products have been sold since Sept. 13, 2023, online and at select U.S. retailers in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Consumers who have the recalled product are advised to dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; do not consume the product if you have a milk allergy or sensitivity.
