Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — FGF Brands Inc. of Toronto, Ontario, has recalled 11,830 cases of ALDI Bakeshop Chocolate Chip Muffin 4 count because the product may contain undeclared walnut, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to consumers with walnut allergy or severe sensitivity. Consumers who have these muffins should stop using them immediately and should not eat the product.
The affected product is sold as "ALDI - Bakeshop Chocolate Chip Muffin 4 count" in a clear plastic clamshell containing four muffins with a red label; the muffins are marked with lot code(s) NF1 142Y and UPC 4099100048278. The muffins have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and in ALDI stores nationwide and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. No illnesses have been reported to date; the recall was initiated after a temporary breakdown in production and packaging allowed a walnut‑containing product to be placed in packaging that did not declare walnuts.
Consumers should return affected packages to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them safely. For replacement, refund, or additional information, consumers may contact the company by email at [email protected]. Production of the product has been suspended while the company and the FDA confirm corrective actions; consumers who cannot determine whether their product is affected should consult the retailer or contact the company before consumption.
