Asli Fine Foods . Recalls Asli Cinnamon Powder 7 oz Because of Possible Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Asli Fine Foods of Woodridge, Ill., has recalled Asli Cinnamon Powder 7 oz because the product may be contaminated with lead, posing a risk of elevated blood lead levels that can cause developmental harm in children and health problems in adults; consumers should stop using the product immediately and not eat it. The company has ceased production and distribution while the Food and Drug Administration and company investigators continue to determine the source of contamination. No illnesses have been reported as of Aug. 29, 2024.

The recalled product is identified as Asli Cinnamon Powder 7 oz, lot code(s) DDDLUS, UPC 703440150723. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and was distributed in Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio; units have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. The recall follows a routine sampling program by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that detected lead in finished product samples.

Consumers who purchased Asli Cinnamon Powder 7 oz are urged to stop use and return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or follow retailer return instructions; if disposal is chosen, double-bag and discard according to local waste guidelines.
