Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Element 112, LLC doing business as Madeline’s Pâtisserie has recalled a specific batch of ready-to-eat frozen croissants because a labeling error has resulted in the undeclared allergen wheat being omitted from the ingredient statement, creating a risk of allergic reaction for consumers with wheat or gluten allergies; consumers should stop using or serving the affected products immediately and check their inventory. The company is emphasizing that the products are fully baked, frozen and sold in food service cases of 24 units.
The affected items include 2.5 oz and 3.5 oz chocolate croissants, 2.5 oz and 3.5 oz raspberry croissants, and croissant buns, identified by the lot code(s) produced from March 10, 2025, through May 7, 2025. These products have been sold since March 10, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers and food distributors, including Superior Food Distributors (Grand Rapids, MI), Carmela Food Distributor (Fraser, MI), Euclid Fish Company (Mentor, OH) and Atlantic Food Distributors (Canton, OH). Consumers should verify lot codes on packaging before use.
Consumers and retail or food service customers holding affected product should remove it from sale or distribution and either dispose of it or return it for a refund or replacement with corrected labeling; to request a refund or replacement, contact Madeline’s Pâtisserie at [email protected]. If you are unsure whether product in your possession is affected, inspect lot codes or contact the company for guidance, and consult a medical professional if you suspect an allergic reaction. Madeline’s Pâtisserie says it has corrected the labeling process to prevent recurrence and regrets any inconvenience to customers.
