Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Russ Davis Wholesale of Wadena, Minn., has recalled multiple prepared cucumber products because they may contain cucumbers from Baloian Farms that have been linked to Salmonella contamination, a pathogen that can cause fever, diarrhea, vomiting and, in vulnerable individuals, severe or life‑threatening infections. Consumers should stop using the products immediately and not eat them.
The recalled items are clear plastic‑packaged cucumber products of various sizes, each labeled with a 7‑digit lot code preceded by an “X” (listed as lot code(s) on package tops) and a sell‑by or use‑by date on the same label. A supplementary document with product images and specific lot code(s) and use‑by dates is available from the company. The products have been distributed online and at select U.S. retailers and to foodservice customers in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
Because the recalled items are aged, it is unlikely that product remains in stores or homes; consumers should dispose of any product on hand or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement. No illnesses have been reported to Russ Davis Wholesale in connection with these items. Consumers with questions or to request a refund or replacement should contact the company at 1‑877‑433‑2173 or by email at [email protected]; for additional details and label images, consult the company’s recall notice or the FDA outbreak advisory.
