Recall Details
McAllen, Texas, June 17, 2025 — Fuentes Farms LLC is recalling 71 boxes of fresh cucumbers because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and, in severe cases, bloodstream infections. Consumers who purchased cucumbers from the affected lot should stop using them immediately and either dispose of the product or return it to the point of purchase; do not eat the cucumbers.
The recalled items are labeled with a Fuentes Farm label bearing lot code(s) 357 and were packed in 40‑lb (1‑1/9‑bushel) boxes with a black background that read “vegetables.” The product has been sold at flea markets in the McAllen and Alamo, Texas, areas and was sold from May 31 through June 3, 2025. No illnesses have been reported to date and the recall is not part of any ongoing multi‑state outbreak.
Fuentes Farms has ceased production and distribution while FDA and the company continue their investigation. Consumers who believe they purchased cucumbers from lot code(s) 357 should dispose of them or return them to the seller for a refund or replacement and may contact Fuentes Farms LLC at 1‑956‑340‑8653 (Mon–Fri, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. CDT) or by email at [email protected] for additional information and assistance.
