Betty Lou’s Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Sesame in Stabilyze Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Betty Lou’s Inc. has recalled Stabilyze Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter 1.76 oz (50 g) packages because they contain undeclared sesame, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to people with sesame allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers who have the product should stop using it immediately and not eat it. The company says no illnesses have been reported and the recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The affected product is Stabilyze Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter in 1.76 oz individual packages and 12‑count display boxes, lot code(s) BB 05APR24 0053, UPCs 0 16073 00213 1 (individual) and 0 16073 00223 0 (display). The lot code is printed on the inside of the fin seal on the back of individual packages or on the back of the display box. These items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KY, MA, MI, MT, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA, WI and WY and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; consumers should check package lot codes before consuming.

Consumers with the affected product who have a sesame allergy or sensitivity are urged to dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund; those wishing to request a refund or replacement may also contact Betty Lou’s Inc. for instructions.
