Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. Is Voluntarily Recalling Its Dried Bean Curd Due to Undeclared Wheat

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. has voluntarily recalled 500g G&L FOOD dried bean curd because the product contains undeclared wheat — an allergen that can cause serious or life‑threatening reactions in people with wheat allergies or severe sensitivities. Consumers who purchased these products are advised not to eat them and should stop using them immediately.

The recalled items are G&L FOOD dried bean curd (500g per plastic bag), UPC 6976325560236, with lot code(s) and expiration dates printed on the back of the bag: 25/10/2025, 11/06/2026 and 20/06/2026. These products have been sold primarily in restaurants and retail stores in the Bay Area of Northern California and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; they are also available online and at select U.S. retailers. The recall was initiated after an FDA inspection found that soy sauce in the product was not declared as containing wheat.

Consumers should dispose of or return affected packages to the place of purchase for a full refund or request a replacement.
