Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Hofood99 Inc. of Brooklyn, N.Y. has recalled 200 g packages of Enoki Mushroom because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogen that can cause severe or fatal infections in young children, the elderly, pregnant people and others with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not eat it.
The recalled product is sold in 200 g green plastic packages marked with UPC barcode 6 976532 310051 and distributed by Hofood99 Inc., 21903 56th Ave, Oakland Gardens, NY 11364; lot code(s): not provided by the company. The mushrooms have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. The contamination was identified after samples collected from a Michigan store tested positive at the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development laboratory.
