New Age International Recalls ‘Enoki Mushrooms’ Due to Potential Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — New Age International Inc. of Brooklyn, N.Y., has recalled 200 g packages of Daily Veggies Enoki Mushroom because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause severe and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems; pregnant women risk miscarriage or stillbirth. Consumers who have these products should stop using them immediately and either dispose of them or seek a refund.

The recalled product is Daily Veggies Enoki Mushroom, packaged in 200 g clear plastic packs marked with UPC 8809159458890; affected lot code(s) include those sold from Oct. 1, 2024, through Nov. 30, 2024. The mushrooms were imported from Korea and have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers nationwide since Oct. 1, 2024. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers are advised to destroy the recalled packages or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund; if returning, follow retailer return policies.
