JFE Franchising, Inc. Recalls A Limited Number of Cucumber Products Because Of Possible Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — JFE Franchising, Inc. has recalled a limited number of fresh-cut cucumber items and sushi products containing cucumber because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea and more serious illness in vulnerable populations. Consumers are urged to stop using the listed products immediately and not eat them; anyone who has eaten the products and developed symptoms should seek medical attention. To date, the company reports no illnesses or consumer complaints linked to these specific items.

The affected items were sold under the SNOWFRUIT and SNOWFOX labels and include multiple SKUs and lot codes; key examples are Fruit & Vegetable Tray (64 oz, lot code(s) 63912394047), Family Garden Salad (24 oz, lot code(s) 63912388065), Cucumber with Ranch (9 oz, lot code(s) 63912395020), Cucumber, Lime & Tajin (19 oz, lot code(s) 63912388053), Cucumber Salad (3 oz, lot code(s) 63912389243), and various sushi containing cucumber (various price, weight and UPCs). Additional Roundy’s and Weis Market items and their lot code(s) are included in the company and FDA listings. These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers (including Kroger, Roundy’s and Weis Market locations) and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; sushi items are made daily with a one‑day shelf life and many have already expired.

Consumers who purchased affected SNOWFRUIT or SNOWFOX products should not consume them and may return items to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them; those seeking a refund or replacement may also request one directly from the company.
