Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Infinite Herbs LLC of Miami, Florida, has expanded a recall to include Melissa's brand fresh organic basil because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause serious or life‑threatening infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled basil and should stop using it immediately if they have it in their possession.
The recalled items are Melissa's fresh organic basil in 2.0 oz packages (96 packages, lot code(s): UPC 045255141429) and 4.0 oz packages (24 packages, lot code(s): UPC 045255144390). These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Dierberg's stores in Illinois and Missouri, and have been sold since Feb. 10, 2024 through Feb. 20, 2024. The products are part of a lot previously subject to recall.
Consumers should check refrigerators and freezers, avoid consuming the product, and either dispose of it safely or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
