Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Wiet Peeters Farm Products Limited has recalled select mushroom products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products immediately and not eat them.
The recall covers Aunt Mid’s Fresh Sliced Mushrooms 227g (lot code(s): BEST BEFORE 25JL04, UPC 0 33383 676005), Peeters Mushroom Farm Cremini Sliced 227g (lot code(s): BEST BEFORE 25JL04, UPC 0 68414 96960 3), and Peeters Mushroom Farm Thick Slice Mushroom 10 lb (lot code(s): labeled on the 10 lb cardboard box). The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Michigan and Ohio and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them safely if return is not possible, and may request a refund or replacement.
