Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Beaver Street Fisheries, LLC of Jacksonville, Fla., has recalled a limited quantity of Great Value Frozen Raw Shrimp EZ-Peel & Deveined Tail-On 21–25 per lb due to potential contamination with cesium‑137 (Cs‑137), a man‑made radioisotope that can increase long‑term cancer risk with repeated low‑dose exposure. Consumers who purchased the product should not eat it and should stop using it immediately.

The affected product is identified as Great Value Frozen Raw Shrimp EZ‑Peel & Deveined Tail‑On 21–25 per lb, sold in plastic bags with UPC 078742133898 and lot code(s) 8005540‑1, 8005538‑1, and 8005539‑1, all bearing a best‑by date of March 15, 2027. The shrimp have been sold since July 28, 2025, online and at select U.S. Walmart retailers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.
