Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Kwik Trip, Inc. has recalled three fresh-cut fruit products because they contain cantaloupe linked to a TruFresh recall and may be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause fever, diarrhea, vomiting and, in severe cases, bloodstream infections. Consumers should stop using the affected products immediately and do not eat them; customers who have already consumed the products and feel ill should seek medical attention.
The recall covers MIXED FRUIT CUP (6 oz), CANTALOUPE CUP (6 oz) and FRUIT TRAY (16 oz) with the following lot code(s) and sell-by date range: UPCs 39779 00240, 39779 00213 and 39779 00248, sell-by dates Nov. 4, 2023 through Dec. 3, 2023. The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Stop-N-Go, Tobacco Outlet Plus Grocery and Tobacco Outlet Plus convenience stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Illinois and South Dakota, and have been sold since Nov. 4, 2023.
Consumers, restaurants, retailers and wholesalers should not eat, sell or serve recalled cantaloupe or products containing it; affected items should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. If consumers cannot determine whether an item is part of the recall, they should discard it. For questions or to request a refund or replacement, contact Kwik Trip customer service at [email protected] or by phone at 608-781-8988; consumers should also consult local retailers for return instructions.
