HerbsForever LLC Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Wheat in HerbsForever brand Dietary Supplements

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — HerbsForever LLC of Los Angeles has recalled 90 units of dietary supplements — 45 units of Hingwastik Churna and 45 units of Gastro Care — because they may contain undeclared wheat, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with wheat allergy. Consumers who have a wheat allergy or severe wheat sensitivity should stop using the products immediately and not eat them; those with symptoms should seek medical attention. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled products and lot code(s) are: HerbsForever Hingwastik Churna Powder 100 g, UPC 807814006224, lot code(s) 622-2, expiry June 2029; HerbsForever Hingwastika Extract 60 veg capsules, 800 mg, UPC 807814001335, lot code(s) 133-14, expiry April 2029; and HerbsForever Gastro Care 90 veg capsules, 800 mg, UPC 807814001243, lot code(s) 124-4, expiry January 2029. The products have been sold nationwide online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 (consumers should check their purchase records or packaging for exact purchase dates).

The issue was identified during an FDA inspection at the manufacturing facility in India, where a supplier reported that Hing (Ferula asafoetida) is dried with flour that may contain wheat. Consumers should dispose of or return the recalled products for a full refund and may request a refund or replacement by emailing the firm at [email protected] for return instructions.
