Church Brothers Farms Recall Green Onions Due to Possible Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Church Brothers, LLC (Church Brothers Farms) has issued a voluntary recall of certain green onion products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause serious illness; consumers should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately. The company says the recall affects only the products named below and that, to its knowledge, no illnesses have been reported in connection with these lots. Consumers who have the recalled items are urged to discard them or follow the return instructions below.

The recalled products include: Imperial Fresh Green Onion Iceless 4x2lb Reg (lot code(s) CB272378); Church Brothers Green Onions Iceless 4x2lb Reg Church Brothers Mexico (lot code(s) CB272378; clear bag with product code on the front); Trader Joe’s Green Onion Iceless 24x6oz Reg Trader Joe’s Mexico (lot code(s) CB272378, pack date 092524; retail bag with pack date label on the back). These items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and a small number of retail and foodservice customers in Canada and the U.S. (including Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia) and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, according to the company; consumers should check lot codes and pack dates before consuming.

Consumers who possess the recalled product should dispose of it in a secure trash container or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; if return is not possible, discard the product and do not consume.
