Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — La Fiesta Food Products is recalling its La Fiesta Brand Cinnamon Ground .87oz because samples have tested positive for elevated concentrations of lead, a toxic contaminant that can cause neurological and other health problems, particularly in children. Consumers should stop using the product immediately and either dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund; anyone concerned about possible exposure should contact a healthcare provider.

The recalled item is identified as La Fiesta Brand Cinnamon Ground .87oz, UPC# 032327000449, lot code(s) not printed on consumer packaging; the product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and distributors in California, Arizona, Washington and Texas and have been sold since April 20, 2023 through May 3, 2023. The company says the issue was discovered after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration collected samples and laboratory analysis revealed elevated lead levels. There have been no reported illnesses to date.
