Voluntary Recall of Two Lots of PEDIGREE® Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor Wet Dog Food Due to Potential Fraudulent Distribution of Product Which May Contain Foreign Material

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Mars Petcare US, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of two lots of PEDIGREE® Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor 13.2 oz for dogs because the cans may contain sharp metal and plastic foreign material that could choke or cause lacerations or gastrointestinal blockages. Consumers should stop feeding the product immediately and, if their pet has consumed the product and shows signs of illness, contact a veterinarian at once.

The recall applies only to PEDIGREE® Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor 13.2 oz with lot code(s) 613C3KKCFC and 613C1KKCFC. These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. No other PEDIGREE or Mars Petcare products are included in this recall.

Consumers who have the recalled product should not feed it to animals and may dispose of it or request a replacement or refund. Mars is working with authorities to determine how these lots entered the marketplace and reports no related pet illnesses to date.
