Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Medtech Products Inc., a Prestige Consumer Healthcare company, has recalled five lots of Little Remedies® Honey Cough Syrup because testing has identified Bacillus cereus contamination and a loss of shelf stability that could cause food‑borne illness; consumers should stop using the product immediately and discard or quarantine any bottles from the affected lots. Symptoms of B. cereus infection can include nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea, and exposure to high levels can be serious; anyone who has experienced symptoms after using the product should contact their healthcare provider.
The recall affects Little Remedies® Honey Cough Syrup 4 FL OZ (118 mL) in amber bottles with lot code(s) 0039, 0545, 0640, 0450 and 1198 and corresponding UPC 7-56184-10737-9 and expiration dates 11/2025, 01/2026, 02/2026, 05/2026 and 12/2026. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and has been sold since Dec. 14, 2022, through June 4, 2025; the lot code appears on both the bottle label and the bottom of the outer carton. No other Little Remedies® products are included in this recall and no serious adverse events have been reported to date.
