Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association (MDVA) has recalled one lot of Howling Cow Butter Almond Ice Cream Pints because they contain undeclared soy and wheat, which pose a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to consumers with soy or wheat allergies. Consumers who have purchased the product should stop using it immediately and should not eat the ice cream.
The recalled product is Howling Cow Butter Almond Ice Cream, lot code(s): SELL BY Sept. 15, 2022 (stamp on bottom of container); UPC 0 74336 65079 6. MDVA produced 8,040 pints on Sept. 15, 2021 and began distributing them on Sept. 24, 2021; the pints have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Harris Teeter stores in North and South Carolina, and have been sold since Sept. 24, 2021.
Consumers are advised to dispose of the product or return it to the point of purchase for a full refund; retailers should cease distribution and sale of any remaining pints immediately.
