Dollar General Announces Voluntary Recall of Clover Valley® Instant Coffee Due to Potential Presence of Glass

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Dollar General Corporation has recalled three lots of its 8-ounce Clover Valley® Instant Coffee because the product may contain glass, posing a risk of mouth, throat or intestinal injury; consumers should stop using the coffee immediately and not eat it. The company says no illnesses or injuries have been confirmed to date and is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on the recall.

The recall covers 8‑ounce Clover Valley® Instant Coffee, UPC 876941004069, lot code(s) L-5163 (Best by 12/13/2026), L-5164 (Best by 12/13/2026) and L-5165 (Best by 12/14/2026). The lot code and best-by date are printed around the neck of the jar. These products have been sold since July 9, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers, and were distributed to Dollar General stores in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV and WY.

Consumers who purchased the affected product should dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, including tax; customers may also request replacement options where available.
