Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Home Style Foods, Inc. has recalled 43 cases of Kowalski Simply Sides - Jack’s Potato Salad because an incorrect back label omits egg from the ingredient list, creating a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction for consumers with egg allergies; consumers who have egg allergies should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately. The company reports no illnesses to date and says the labeling error was found during a routine quality assurance review.

The recalled item is sold as Kowalski Simply Sides - Jack’s Potato Salad (16 oz deli cup) with sell‑by date 04/29/2024 and UPC 754721282701; the back label incorrectly reads “Very Berry Strawberry.” Lot code(s): not specified by the company. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Michigan, including 21 Kroger locations, Diamond Dot Market, Holiday Market Royal Oak, Larry’s Foodland and Tenuta’s Market, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.

Consumers should dispose of or return the product to the point of purchase for a full refund or request a replacement; if unsure whether a purchased item is affected, customers should consult their receipt or contact the retailer.
