Grace Imports, LLC Issues Allergy Alert of Undeclared Wheat in Kara Boondh, Kerala Mixture and Spicy Murukku

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Grace Imports, LLC., of Tucker, Ga., has recalled specific packages of Kara Boondhi, Kerala Mixture and Spicy Murukku because the products contain undeclared wheat, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with wheat allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers who have these products should stop using them immediately and not eat them. The recall follows supplier notification on Aug. 29, 2024, that the asafetida ingredient used in the products contains wheat but was not declared on the label. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The affected products include 250g Kara Boondhi (lot code(s) 2Al4B8, UPC 890412353706, use‑by 07/30/2025), 300g Kerala Mixture (lot code(s) 2Al564, UPC 8904123500329, use‑by 07/30/2025) and 250g Spicy Murukku (lot code(s) 2Al504, UPC 8904123537103, use‑by 07/30/2025). The products have been sold since Aug. 20, 2024, online and at select U.S. retailers and were distributed in retail stores in Georgia; consumers should check packaging for the listed product names and lot code(s) before use.
