Gellert Global Group Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Tuna (Fish) in Aldi Brand Fusia Asian Inspirations Kimchi and Tofu Kimbap

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Gellert Global Group of Elizabeth, N.J., has recalled 8.1 oz ALDI Brand Fusia Asian Inspirations Kimchi & Tofu Kimbap because the products may contain undeclared fish (tuna), posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to consumers with fish allergies; consumers should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company says the contamination resulted from a temporary breakdown in production and packaging procedures that has since been corrected.

The recall applies to 8.1 oz sealed, microwave‑safe plastic packages of ALDI Brand Fusia Asian Inspirations Kimchi & Tofu Kimbap marked with a BEST IF USED BY DATE of OCT.08.2027 (listed as lot code(s) with that date). The product has been sold online and at select U.S. ALDI retailers in Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. Consumers who purchased the recalled 8.1 oz packages are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them immediately; do not consume.
