HP Hood LLC Recalls Select Units of 96 oz Refrigerated Lactaid Milk Due to Possible Almond Allergen

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — HP Hood LLC has recalled five SKUs of 96 oz LACTAID milk because the products may contain trace amounts of almond that are not declared on the label, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for people with almond allergies or severe sensitivities; consumers who may be affected should stop using the product immediately and not eat it. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company is conducting this voluntary recall with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The recall applies to 96 oz refrigerated LACTAID containers with lot code(s) 51-4109 P2 and the following product names and UPC/identifiers: 96 oz LACTAID Whole Milk (UPC 0 41383 09073 8) with Best By dates Nov. 22, 23, 25–28 and Dec. 2–4, 2024; 96 oz LACTAID 2% Milk (UPC 0 41383 09072 1) with Best By dates Nov. 23–24, 28–30 and Dec. 1, 4, 2024; 96 oz LACTAID 1% Milk (UPC 0 41383 09071 4) with Best By dates Nov. 24–25 and Dec. 5, 2024; 96 oz LACTAID Fat Free Milk (UPC 0 41383 09070 7) with Best By dates Nov. 24–25, 2024; and 96 oz LACTAID 2% Calcium Enriched Milk (UPC 0 41383 15567 3) with Best By date Dec. 1, 2024. These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and wholesalers and have been sold since Sept. 5, 2024, through Sept. 18, 2024, in multiple states including AL, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, VA, WI and WY.
