Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — East CK Trading, Inc., of Long Island City, N.Y., has recalled its 8-ounce packages of “Licorice Plum” food treats because the product contains undeclared sulfites and the unallowed color additive Amaranth (E123), posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for sulfite‑sensitive consumers; consumers should stop using the product immediately and not eat it.
