Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Reser’s Fine Foods has voluntarily recalled a limited number of meal kits after learning an outside ingredient supplier, BrucePac, has recalled chicken for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled kits may present a serious health risk to young children, pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals; consumers should stop using the meal kits immediately and not eat any portion of the product.
The recall covers specific meal kit products containing chicken produced with the supplier’s affected ingredient; the company lists the following lot code(s): BRC-1024, BRC-1105 and BRC-1201. The kits have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MO, NE, NY, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA and WY and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. Reser’s has stopped using ingredients from the impacted BrucePac facility while the matter is investigated.
Consumers who purchased the affected meal kits should not consume them and may either return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of it.
