Chicago, Sept. 29, 2022 — Diana’s Bananas, LLC has issued a voluntary recall of 10.5-ounce packages of Milk Chocolate Banana Babies after discovering the product may contain undeclared peanuts, posing a serious or life‑threatening risk to people with peanut allergies. Consumers who are allergic to peanuts should stop using the product immediately and not eat it; those who have consumed the product and experience an allergic reaction should seek prompt medical attention.
The recalled product is Milk Chocolate Banana Babies in a 10.5‑ounce blue box bearing a BEST IF USED BY date of C 08 05 23 and UPC 7-43490-00010-4; lot code(s) are identified by that BEST IF USED BY marking. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and distributors, including Stater Brothers (San Bernardino, Calif.), Albertsons/Safeway (Irvine, Calif.), Kroger (Syracuse, Utah), Lipari Foods (Warren, Mich.), and UNFI locations in Iowa City, Iowa and Ridgefield, Wash.; these items have been sold since Sept. 15, 2021 (consumers should check packaging for exact sale dates).
