Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Mangalm LLC of Newark, Calif., has recalled Tops Mixed Fruit Jam (475 g) and Tops Strawberry Jam (475 g) after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found the products contain carmoisine, an unapproved color additive that may present a health concern. Consumers are advised not to eat the products and should stop using them immediately.
The recall covers Tops Mixed Fruit Jam (475 g) and Tops Strawberry Jam (475 g), lot code(s) 4F1101, with best before date 10/06/2026. The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers across Utah, Portland (Ore.), Washington and California and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. The company has ceased distribution and is working with retailers to remove affected jars from store shelves.
Consumers who purchased the recalled jars should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund; they may request a refund or replacement by contacting Mangalm LLC at [email protected].
